From an outsider's initial glance, we may appear to be just a small rural community, but if you look closer, you will realize that Vermilion in fact boasts big-city advantages, while still maintaining that small town feel.

Our town proudly offers our residents a clean, healthy and happy way of living. The Town of Vermilion, AB has participated in Communities in Bloom for several years, claiming the Provincial Title in 2000 and the National Title receiving 5 Blooms in 2010!  Keeping the National 5 Blooms in 2011 the Town of Vermilion was a finalist in the Circle of Champions Population Small Category recieving a Special Mention:  "Agricultural Fair Honours Communities In Bloom".
