**Starting December 20th, 2011 the Vermilion Recycle Centre will be open at its NEW location 4018 - 52 Avenue (east of the Airport Terminal Building). **2012 Utility Rates
When yearly operational budgets are drafted, utility rates for water, sewer, garbage and recycling are reviewed to ensure that each department generates sufficient revenue to cover annual expenditures. These rates will be in effect for your January/February 2012 bill that will go out in the mail to you on March 15, 2012. As a result, the following are the 2012 utility rates.
Water Rates
► Consumption rate will be $9.93 per 1,000 gallons.
► Residential flat rate will be $52.60 per billing period (every two months)
► Commercial flat rate will be $64.04 per billing period
Sewer Rates
► Residential will be $19.76 per billing period.
► Sewer rates will see an 4.4% increase.
Garbage Rates
► Residential rate will be $4.38 per pickup
► Commercial rate will be $14.48 per pickup
► Garbage rates will see an 2% increase.
Recycling Rates
► $11.89 per billing period for Residential and Commercial
► $36.15 per billing period for Multi Dwelling
► Recycling rates will see an 2% increase.
