Summer Fun A Success!

This year’s Town of Vermilion Summer Fun Program was a successful one!  Over the seven-week period, 95 children participated in various field trips, games and activities. The Summer Fun crew visited many places in the community such as the Lakeland College Emergency Training Centre, the Vermilion Public Library, the Vermilion Valley Lodge, East-Alta CO-OP Bakery and the Vermilion Provincial Park. Many guest speakers were also welcomed to Summer Fun including Cindy Millar of Vermilion Theatre Productions, Keily Stetson of Alberta Health Services, and Shane Ashdown of the Town of Vermilion. Summer Fun would like to thank all of these groups and people for making Summer Fun a fun and enjoyable place to be.

Coordinator, Reanne Harasiuk, would also like to thank all of her wonderful staff including Sara Page, Terra Throndson, and Nekayla Zayac for all of their hard work and efforts throughout the summer.

Parents, the lost and found is overflowing with water bottles, towels, swim gear, sweaters and more. Please stop by Town Hall before October 1st to see if anything belongs to you, otherwise, items will be donated to the Vermilion Community Closet.

Registration for next year’s Summer Fun Program will be available May 2012.
