It’s Rodeo Time
Yee-Haw!

With our strong agricultural roots, Vermilion, AB is host to several rodeo events throughout the year. The Vermilion Fair and Trade Fair historically attracts over 20,000 visitors to Vermilion over the 3-day event. The colourful parade is a town favourite, and winds through downtown on opening day (Thursday), ending at the Fair grounds. The large event is hosted by the Vermilion Agricultural Society, and takes place during the last weekend in July.

The Professional Bull Riders circuit has been part of our festivities for the last two years with the PBR Bull Bash event in March. This is a great opportunity to witness professional bull riders from Canada and the USA. Ride ‘em, cowboy!

Lakeland College hosts three rodeo events through the winter, the Fall Classic Rodeo, Alumni Rodeo and Little Royal Rodeo. Even the local 4H clubs also get involved by hosting a variety of events throughout the year!
