Utilities: Public Support & Access

Vermilion operates a bulk water station located at 4314–52 Avenue.
An active account is required to access the system.

For account setup or additional information, please contact the Utilities Department at 780-581-2417.

If you are planning to move, you must cancel your utility service.

Once your move-out date is known, please contact the Utilities Department or call 780-581-2417 so a final meter reading can be completed and a final utility bill prepared. A forwarding address is required at the time of cancellation.

Customers remain responsible for all utility usage and charges up to the cancellation date. Accounts cancelled without notice may be subject to additional charges.

The Town of Vermilion provides water, sewer, garbage, and recycling services to residential and commercial properties.

If you are moving into the Town or opening a new address, utility services must be set up prior to occupancy. A one-time, non-refundable hook-up fee of $48.00 applies to new utility connections.

Utility bills are mailed on the 10th of each month, with the option to receive bills by email.

In 2012, the Town of Vermilion introduced a Toilet Replacement Program to encourage water conservation.

Residents may be eligible for a rebate of $50–$100 per toilet when replacing an older, high-volume toilet with a new water-efficient model.
