Paying Your Utility Bill

Pre-authorized payments provide a convenient way to pay your utility bill automatically.

Benefits include:

• Monthly payments are automatically withdrawn from your bank account on the last banking day of each month

• Reduced risk of late or missed payment penalties

To enroll in the pre-authorized payment plan, please contact the Utilities Department at 780-581-2415.

Note:

If you are enrolled in the pre-authorized payment plan and need to change bank accounts, please notify the Utilities Department by the 15th of the month. This ensures the change is processed before the next withdrawal.

Failure to notify the Town may result in additional withdrawals or fees.

Pay your utility bill through your bank’s online banking service.

Please allow 3–5 business days for payment processing by financial institutions to ensure your payment is received before the due date.

Payments can be made online using PaySimply.

A convenience fee applies to cover payment processing charges. These fees are collected by PaySimply and are not received by the Town of Vermilion.

Fees:

• Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay): 2.5%

• Interac e-Transfer: 1.0%

• PayPal: 2.5%

• Canada Post (cash or debit):

  • $1.00 – $1,000.00 → $3.95

  • $1,000.01 – $2,000.00 → $5.95

  • $2,000.01 – $3,000.00 → $7.95
