Vermilion Airport

Undercamping is available at no charge on the airside, east of the terminal building.

The Vermilion Municipal Airport is an unmanned facility operated by the Town of Vermilion.

  Fuel services at the Vermilion Municipal Airport are provided by Balairus Fuels, established in 2021 by Darcy Balaneski.

  The airport currently offers 100LL aviation gasoline for piston-powered aircraft.

  Fuel is supplied through a 12,500-litre storage tank equipped with digital metering and monitoring. A self-retracting hose system is available for ease of use.

  An adjacent heated and lighted fueling shed provides shelter and access to a 24-hour self-serve credit card payment system.

  Clear instructions for using the fueling system are posted inside the fueling shed.

The runway and terminal building are maintained by the Town of Vermilion’s Infrastructure and Planning Services Department.

In August 2025, the Airport Advisory Committee and the Town of Vermilion were pleased to announce the installation of GPS equipment at the Vermilion Airport.

The project cost of $16,750 was made possible through generous community fundraising. The Town and Committee sincerely thank all individuals and businesses who contributed to the success of this project.
