Position Summary:Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services the Accounting Supervisor is a member of the Finance and Administration Team. The primary focus of the Accounting Supervisor is all financial management, control and reporting, including overseeing the accounting functions, property tax, conducting forecast analysis, monitoring corporate credit and oversight of finance staff. OpportunityThe Town of Vermilion is currently seeking a Full‐Time Community Peace Officer 1 (CPO 1) to join the Community Service Team. Reporting to the Director of Community Service, the CPO 1 is responsible for enforcement of Municipal bylaws and Provincial Statutes as approved by the Province of Alberta, responding to and investigating complaints, conducing vehicle patrols within the Town of Vermilion, liaising with other enforcement and Emergency Service agencies, partnered Enforcement Contracts, and participating or assisting with community events. ResponsibilitiesAs a member of the Enforcement Services unit, the CPO 1 assists and works cooperatively with the RCMP and other municipal departments and the community to fulfill the Town’s objectives in the areas of enforcement, prevention, intervention, and education. Qualifications:Visitor Information Centre staff must be proactive and able to recall/search Alberta information quickly and be comfortable dealing with people. Having well-honed listening and questioning skills are essential, in order to establish credibility in your interactions with travelers. All candidates must have a high school education.
