Council appointed Councillor Joshua Rayment as Deputy Mayor for the months of May and June 2023.

Isaman Chopek Corporation, Mr. Donald Isaman - Presentation of 2022 Audit

Mr. Isaman reviewed the operational and capital portions of the audited financial statements with Council.

Bylaws

Bylaw 4-2023 Tax Rate Bylaw

Council gave first, second and third reading to 2023 Property Tax Bylaw #4-2023.

New Business

Northern Lights Library System Board (NLLS) 2023

Council defeated the presented Northern Lights Library System 2023 Budget at a cost of $24,133.95.

Parks, Recreation and Culture

2023 – 2024 Ice User Rental Rates

Council defeated the Parks, Recreation and Culture Committee recommendation to increase Ice Rates 7% for Adult, Youth, Jr. B and Non-Resident/Other for the 2023-2024 season effective September 1, 2023.recommendation of a 4% increase in user fees for the Vermilion Regional Centre for three years, beginning 2022 and ending December 31, 2025.

Closed Session

Council approved the motion to sell 4-acres known as Title 162 111 361 – Plan 1621615 4;6;50;30; NE for $1,000,000.00 plus gst to PNP Viking Ltd &/or Nominee and trade one acre taking back to the Town of Vermilion Plan 1921624; Block 1; Lot 6.
