    The Town of Vermilion Office will be closed on Monday, May 18, 2026 in observance of Victoria Day.
    Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, May 19 at 8:00 AM.

  • 2026 Property Tax Notices Mailed
    2026 Property Tax Notices Mailed
    The Town of Vermilion advises residents that 2026 Property Tax Notices were mailed on May 14, 2026.
    If you have not received your notice by the end of next week, please contact the Town Office to obtain a copy.
    Please note that not receiving a tax notice does not exempt property owners from payment or applicable penalties.
  • 2026 Property Assessments
    The Town’s property assessors will be out in the community completing annual property assessments.
    This program takes place in select areas throughout the Town each year, with inspections occurring in the highlighted green area for 2026. 2026 Assessment Map
    Assessors will carry identification and may request to view your property as part of the assessment process. These inspections help ensure proper assessments remain fair and accurate for all property owners.

    We’re inviting the community to help choose a name for Vermilion’s newest toddler park located at 52 Avenue & Park Road! 
    Visit the park, get inspired, and submit your best park name suggestion for a chance to be part of this exciting community project. We’re looking for a fun, creative name that captures the spirit of Vermilion and this new family-friendly space.
     Contest Details:
    • Open to all Vermilion residents
    • One entry per person
    • Park name must be three words or fewer
    • All ages welcome
    Entries close: May 31 at 4:00 PM
    Official park naming & grand opening: Saturday, June 6 at 11:00 AM during Vermilion Neighbour Day!

  • Public Notice – Disclosure of Broadband Agreements

    At the April 22 Council meeting, Administration was directed to review the potential disclosure of agreements related to the Alberta Broadband Initiative.

    The redacted agreements are now available on the Town’s website. We have also updated our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section to provide additional information for residents.
