LAND USE BY-LAW

The Town of Vermilion has approved the following Development Permit for a Permitted use. In these decisions, the Development Authority for the Town did not exercise any discretion, or relax or vary any provision of the Land Use By-Law:
Applicant: J.R. Robson High School
Civic Address: 5102 – 46 Street
Legal Description: Lots 1-24, Block 43, Plan 635V
Proposed Use: Placement of one free-standing electronic sign.
Date of Notice: August 5, 2025
In accordance with the Municipal Government Act, 2000, as amended, no appeal lies to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board in respect of the issuance of a development permit for a permitted use unless the provisions of the Land Use By-Law were relaxed, varied or misinterpreted.
The administration office will be closed to allow all staff to attend the Vermilion Fair Parade from approximately 11am to 1pm on Thursday July 24, 2025.

Legal Description: Lot 3, Block 1, Plan 182 3473
Proposed Use: Construction of a 45m free-standing internet tower.
Date of Notice: July 3, 2025
Any person claiming to be affected by this decision may appeal to the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board by serving written notice of appeal and appropriate fee of $250.00 to the Secretary of the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board within 21 days of the date of this notice.
