Council for the Town of Vermilion held a Public Hearing regarding the Land Use Bylaw Amendment, which amends the minimum and maximum lot size requirements for R1 and R2 Residential Districts and to create new CR1 and CR2 Country Residential Districts within the Town of Vermilion. There were six residents present for the Public Hearing, with no objections to the proposed revisions.
The Town will be hosting public engagements about the Vermilion Airport to provide information and gain feedback about the potential repaving of the airport.
Vermilion, Alta. - On March 1, 2023, at approximately 3:12 p.m., Vermilion RCMP responded to a request for assistance from EMS for an agitated male having a panic attack. Upon arrival, officers determined that the male was impaired by drugs and required medical attention. Officers assisted in transporting the male to Vermilion hospital, and were asked to remain there while the male was being treated.
