Please be advised that under section 194(3) of the Municipal Government Act, RSA Alberta, a special meeting of the Council of the Town of Vermilion has been called:. 194(3) The chief elected official calls a special council meeting by giving at least 24 hours’ notice in writing to each councillor and the public stating the purpose of the meeting and the date, time and place at which it is to be held.

New this week Economic Development, Mayor and Council say hello to Carol Wakefield and her staff at AWaken Therapies. They are celebrating their Grand Opening this week in their new building 4933 50th Avenue Vermilion!! 

Economic Development and Town Council celebrated the Budd Hutt at it's Grand Opening with a plaque presentation and ribbon cutting. The Vermilion & District Chamber of Commerce was invited to offer a Chamber membership package to the business for review.

Council gave thanks to Mr. Derek Young for his service to the community and wished him luck in his future endeavors. Mr. Young will be leaving his position as Director of Infrastructure and Planning Services with the Town of Vermilion.
