Position Summary

The Labour Operator will report to the Manager of Operations and work within a team environment. This full-time permanent position (40 hours per week) is responsible for labour duties and operation of the Towns heavy and light duty equipment.

This is a full-time position which may require occasional work in the evening and weekend. Salary range of $55,399 - $70,098, depending upon qualifications and experience.

Experience

  • Must be able to operate heavy equipment including loader, tandem truck, backhoe, etc.
  • Must have experience with the installation of water and sewer lines
  • Must have a valid Class 3 Drivers License with Air Brakes ticket
  • Facilities preventative maintenance and repair

Knowledge and Skills

  • Demonstrated people skills
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Ability to work within a group environment
  • Good physical condition

Other Requirements

  • Provide a current RCMP Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment
  • Provide a current Drivers Abstract as a condition of employment
  • Provide a current Medical Health Assessment as a condition of employment
  • Authorized to work in Canada
