Vermilion Council Stand Together

On Monday, August 19, 2024, The Town of Vermilion Council would like to encourage Vermilion residents to attend their regular Council meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:00PM. For those who are unable to attend in person there is a zoom link provided ahead of each meeting that residents can register to attend.  The link is advertised on our website www.vermilion.ca under News and on our Town of Vermilion Facebook page.

Residents are also encouraged to review Council Minutes that are posted publicly after each Council meeting found on our website under Your Government, Council, Agendas and Minutes – once on this page - click on Agendas and Minutes.

Minister of Municipal Affairs, Ric McIver has authorized the Town of Vermilion be excused from holding a by-election for the Mayor’s position on Council.  For the remainder of Council’s term the Deputy Mayor will assume the Mayor’s position and responsibilities. Council will be following the Deputy Mayor four-month rotation already laid out.

Vermilion Council stand together as one and support one another as they strive to build more transparency and accountability and to move forward to achieve goals set out for their term within their Strategic Plan.
