The Town of Vermilion cares deeply about creating a unique and vibrant retail community. Therefore, the Town is conducting a Consumer Survey as part of larger Retail Market & Gap Analysis. This project is designed to better understand the shopping habits, preferences, and needs of both residents, visitors and businesses. The purpose of the study is to gather detailed insights on what goods and services are currently in demand, where people prefer to shop, and what influences their purchasing decisions. The findings from this survey will help identify gaps in the local retail market and highlight opportunities that support the development of a more curated and cohesive retail ecosystem; one that balances local independent businesses as well as compatible branded/franchise opportunities – Your input as a consumer is critical to Vermilion’s retail success.

June 29, 2021. RE: Resignation - CAO.
We have been notified by the Alberta Central East Water Corporation that effective immediately, all connected municipalities are required to revert to a Level B water restriction until further notice. This is due to the increased water demand from the record-breaking heat wave.
The Town of Vermilion office will reopen to the public on Friday, July 2, 2021, consistent with the Provincial reopening announcement for July 1, 2021. Regular office hours continue to be Monday through Friday, 8:30am -4:30pm.
I wish to advise that a letter of resignation was received today from Councillor Clint McCullough. Mr. McCullough has advised that he has moved his family out of the community and resigns his seat on Council effective today, June 22, 2021.
