The Town of Vermilion cares deeply about creating a unique and vibrant retail community. Therefore, the Town is conducting a Consumer Survey as part of larger Retail Market & Gap Analysis. This project is designed to better understand the shopping habits, preferences, and needs of both residents, visitors and businesses. The purpose of the study is to gather detailed insights on what goods and services are currently in demand, where people prefer to shop, and what influences their purchasing decisions. The findings from this survey will help identify gaps in the local retail market and highlight opportunities that support the development of a more curated and cohesive retail ecosystem; one that balances local independent businesses as well as compatible branded/franchise opportunities – Your input as a consumer is critical to Vermilion’s retail success.

The Town of Vermilion Environment Committee is pleased to announce there is still space in the community gardens.
In May, the Utilities Department will be flushing and repairing the fire hydrants. Water moves through the main lines at a very slow rate, which allows sediment and mineral deposits to build up in the line.

Vermilion Minor Hockey Association made a donation of $15,000 to the Ice Plant!. Mayor Throndson, Councillor Whitlock and Councillor Conlon enjoyed the Hockey Gala Night this past Saturday.
Regular Council Meetings Time Change 🕖🕕. Vermilion Town Council has changed the Council Meeting start times to 6:00pm effective immediately.
Ms. Sarah Paterson was introduced and welcomed to the Director of Community Services position.
