Mr. Salt commended Council for following up on the provincial water restrictions and notifying public. He brought forward ideas of the Town putting out information to residents on preparing for potential upcoming drought conditions.
Mr. Ken Spangler, CEO for Alberta Broadband Networks gave a presentation on the current statistics, a review of the first year of implementation and the new partnership between Primus and Bell.
Council approved the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation 2024 Annual Requisition in the amount of $140,583.00.
Mr. Roger Salt expressed concerns regarding a lack of communication around public meetings and notifying residents of meetings being held by Council.
Ms. Della Riley submitted an email expressing concerns about the conditions of the sidewalks in downtown Vermilion.

Sgt Buckingham, RCMP Detachment presented the Quarterly Community Policing Report with an update on resourcing/activities within the detachment.
Council appointed Councillor Robert Pulyk as Deputy Mayor for the month of October 2023.
Mr. Michael van der Torre was introduced as the new Director of Community Services.
Council approved extension of Councillor Robert Snow as Deputy Mayor to include the month of September 2023 with Councillor Robert Pulyk to take the Oath of Office for the month of October 2023.
