The Town of Vermilion invites qualified Proponents with the capabilities and experience to submit proposals to enter into an agreement for concession services at the Stadium and Arena. The Town of Vermilion is seeking a concession operator who can maximize a return by offering consistent, highly competent concession management and a product offering which responds to the expected Stadium/Arena clientele.

Council for the Town of Vermilion held a Public Hearing regarding the Off-Site Levy Rates Bylaw, which establishes an off-site levy for land that is to be subdivided or developed within the Town of Vermilion. There were two residents present for the Public Hearing, neither had any objections to the proposed revisions.

Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Foreman, and working within a team environment, this full-time permanent position (40 hours per week) is responsible for duties related to the Community Services Department including:. Arena facility operation, maintenance, and custodial duties.
In accordance with the Municipal Government Act and amendments thereafter the Council of the Town of Vermilion will hold a Public Hearing in consideration of passing Bylaw 5-2022 to establish an off-site levy for land that is to be subdivided or developed within the Town of Vermilion. Off-site levies collected from developers are used to facilitate growth of the community by providing harmonized off-site levy rates for roads, water, sanitary, and stormwater infrastructure that are fair and equitable and comply with legislative and regulatory requirements.
The Town of Vermilion will no longer fund future road improvements through local improvement taxes. Eliminating any new/future local improvement taxes will be made possible by an infrastructure reserve funded by utility rates.
Council appointed Councillor Robert Snow as Deputy Mayor for the months of July and August 2022.
