Vermilion Skating Club President Brooke Wasylishen expressed her concerns regarding the 2024 ice schedule changes made which moved all Vermilion Skating Club practices from the Vermilion Stadium to the Vermilion Arena.

Council made a movement to go forward with contract negotiations with Vogel Group for the permanent Chief Administrative Officer position.

Thank You Interim Chief Administrative Officer Michael van der Torre thanked the Vermilion Vipers Swim Club for their thank-you card to Council for the grant they received in June.

Council approved an amendment to the 2024 Capital Budget to add the RCMP Building budget of $70,000 funded from reserve.

Council tabled the motion for the Reserve Transfers for the 2024 Sewer Truck Main Capital Project.

Council defeated the second and third reading to 4.2024 Urban Laying Hens Bylaw.

Council directed administration to provide a few different pricing options as well as a few occupancy options.

Council approved an amendment to the Sanitary Trunk line 2024 Capital budget to change the funding source from debt to tax-funded reserves.

Chris Down with Travel Alberta provided an overview regarding enhancing traveller experience, marketing, grant applications, tourist investment program, cooperative investment, product development, community investment and indigenous tourism, and Northeast Lakelands Tourism Development Zone 2022-2035 projections.
