Council discussed hanging flower baskets on 49th Avenue.
Council gave second reading to 3.2024 Remote Attendance Bylaw.
Council gave first reading to 2.2024 Borrowing Bylaw – 2024 Capital Budget.
Council appointed Councillor Kevin Martin as Deputy Mayor for the months of March to June 2024.
Mr. Salt commended Council for following up on the provincial water restrictions and notifying public. He brought forward ideas of the Town putting out information to residents on preparing for potential upcoming drought conditions.
Mr. Ken Spangler, CEO for Alberta Broadband Networks gave a presentation on the current statistics, a review of the first year of implementation and the new partnership between Primus and Bell.
Council approved the Vermilion & District Housing Foundation 2024 Annual Requisition in the amount of $140,583.00.
Mr. Roger Salt expressed concerns regarding a lack of communication around public meetings and notifying residents of meetings being held by Council.
Ms. Della Riley submitted an email expressing concerns about the conditions of the sidewalks in downtown Vermilion.
